I’ve received a few comments asking if this site is in any relation to DougDoug the content creator.
The answer that it is not related at all.
For background, I have owned the domain dougdoug.net since 2013. I purchased it because Doug Doug was a nickname that I used in real life*. I can’t remember if dougdoug.com was unavailable at the time or if I just preferred the sound of dougdoug.net.
For the longest time I never did anything with the domain. After getting my Guinness kegerator, I wanted a place to record my experience trying to get the perfect pour at home. I also had some information that I wanted to get out like making it known that The Perlick Stout Faucet Does Not Exist. I’m not the most creative guy. Rather than try to think up a new domain, I just used the dougdoug.net domain that I already had. I did not know that DougDoug was a well known content creator until people started asking me about him.
I think it’s pretty obvious that this site is in no way related to DougDoug. As a content creator, I’m sure he spends effort to make his content fun and presentable. I don’t. I just really like Guinness and wanted to write a bit about it.

* I wonder if DougDoug also got the nickname from the TomTom commercial. “Where is the pool, DougDoug?”
